It’s no secret that men often struggle to be honest and vulnerable about their struggles and mental health. Many men may not even be able to identify that they’re facing mental health challenges, but that doesn’t mean they’re any less susceptible to the pitfalls. In a world of ever-increasing pressure, it’s never been more vital for men to have a space where they can open up without fear of judgement. This month’s featured Group is the Men’s Mental Health Support Group hosted by KG. KG’s Support Group offers a safe space where men from all walks of life can be open, honest, and vulnerable about their struggles without fear of judgement. In this Group, men come together to support each other and to share their stories of hardships, successes, and everything in- between without ridicule or belittlement. From time to time, the Group features experts on topics of interest relevant to men and provides fun activities that encourage connection with others in the Group. Some words from KG: Why did you start this Group? I've come to understand that many men are struggling with a lot in life because they want to do it alone or find themselves with the wrong group of men and end up with no outlet or confidants. However, when given a platform to speak, men start to open up and connect by sharing their stories without shame or fear, which has proven to be beneficial to their emotional and ultimately physical wellbeing. We want to help each other to live life better.  What is the purpose of this Support Group? To provide men with a safe space to share their stories, challenges and successes with men who don't judge, ridicule or belittle their experiences but offer a different lens through which to view life, while offering encouragement and support for each other.  Who can join your Group? The Group is open to men 18 years or older, who are dealing with a multitude of mental health issues caused by business or career challenges, relationships, and life in general. What are the benefits of joining a Support Group? You’re in fellowship with men who most likely experience similar challenges and together we will use our collective experiences to help each other figure things out. We’re not fixing each other over a once off conversation - this is a journey and a brotherhood that will extend beyond the Support Group. We will invite experts to engage us on certain topics and do cool, challenging and rewarding activities to help us connect with ourselves and others better .
